Aishwarya Agarwal

Aishwarya Agarwal is the Lead at the Centre for Inclusive Mobility at OMI Foundation, where she spearheads efforts to drive inclusive climate action through a just and equitable EV transition. Her work focuses on advocating for gender-responsive policies, ensuring equitable access to clean mobility, and fostering a transition that leaves no one behind. An urban mobility expert, Aishwarya brings deep expertise in urban design, data-driven research, policy advocacy, and project implementation. She specialises in climate-compatible urban mobility, gender and inclusion, electric mobility, and creating livable cities. Aishwarya has experience spanning both the private and non-profit sectors. She holds a bachelor’s (2013) and master’s (2016) degree in Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology. She has been awarded ‘Smart Solutions Challenge and Inclusive Cities Award 2022’ for developing ‘Digital Mobility Subsidy’ concept, a tech-driven solution designed to disburse transport subsidies to vulnerable groups such as women, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens. The award was conferred by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), United Nations India, and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), with support from NITI Aayog and the Atal Innovation Mission. She is a passionate advocate for the Global Goals and a Salzburg Global Fellow, dedicated to advancing sustainable and inclusive urban development.
