ITF Annual Consultations

2025 ITF Annual Consultation with International Organisations

On 27 and 28 January 2025, the ITF held its Annual Consultations with International Organisations to engage partner organisations in an open dialogue on the linkages between resilience, gender and transport. It also provided an opportunity to discuss synergies between research priorities and avenues for collaboration in the coming years.

On Monday 27 January, participants focused on the theme Transport Resilience to Global Shocks: A Gender Perspective, with opening speeches from H.E. Sarquis J.B. Sarquis, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Brazil to the OECD and Chiara Corazza, representing CCC, G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council (GEAC), and G20 EMPOWER.

On Tuesday 28 January, the Consultation opened with a presentation from the ITF Presidency of Chile, followed by an introduction by the ITF Secretary-General and Secretariat outlining priorities for 2025 and beyond. Reflecting ITF’s emphasis on sustainable transport, UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) was invited to present the upcoming UN Decade on Sustainable Transport. This was followed by exchange on the ITF 2025 Summit and the ITF 2026 Summit, which will inform programme development for the 2025-2027 Summit Trilogy on Transport Resilience.
