About the Speaker
Agustina Calatayud

Agustina Calatayud is Head of Transport Research, Innovation and Partnerships at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in addition to leading the IDB’s transport portfolio in Colombia. Prior to joining the IDB in 2010, Agustina worked in the areas of transportation planning and private sector development with international organisations (European Commission, International Labor Organization and United Nations), the public sector (Mayor of Turin, Italy) and the private sector. Agustina holds a PhD in Mechanical and Systems Engineering from the University of Newcastle, UK, and two Master’s degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Padua, Italy.

Her research in logistics and shipping has received international awards from the UK Charter Institute from Transport and Logistics, Emerald Publishing and the European Logistics Association, and has been published by scientific journals and international organisations.
