Philippe Tabarot was born on November 25, 1970, in Cannes, located in the Alpes-Maritimes department of France. Over the course of his career, Mr. Tabarot has distinguished himself through his commitment to public service, particularly in the fields of transport and regional development.

Mr. Tabarot began his political career as a mission manager, demonstrating early on his dedication to local governance and community development. From 2001 to 2015, he served as a member of the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, representing the Cannes-center canton. During this period, he worked closely with local stakeholders to address the needs of his constituents and to promote sustainable development within the region.

Building on his experience, Philippe Tabarot was appointed Vice-President for Transport, Intermodality, and Security of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, a position he held from 2015 to 2021. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in shaping regional transport policy, fostering intermodal solutions, and enhancing the security of transportation networks across the region.

In September 2020, Mr. Tabarot was elected Senator for the Alpes-Maritimes. As a senator, he served as rapporteur for opinion on the Rail, Public, and River Transport Budget within the Ecology, Development, and Sustainable Mobility Mission. His expertise and leadership in these areas contributed significantly to the advancement of sustainable mobility initiatives at the national level.

Since December 2024, Philippe Tabarot has served as Minister attached to the Minister for Territorial Development and Decentralisation, in charge of Transports. In this role, he continues to advocate for modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible transportation systems throughout France, drawing on his extensive experience in both regional and national governance.
