Talgat lastaev

Born in 1980 in Kazakhstan, the current Vice-Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has built a distinguished career in transport policy and civil aviation. He holds multiple degrees, including in Transport Engineering and Air Transport Management from the National Aviation University (Ukraine), as well as in International Economics, Law, and Public Sector Management from East Kazakhstan State University. He is also a graduate of the National School of Public Policy under the President of Kazakhstan and the Executive Development Program at Duke University. He holds a Candidate of Economic Sciences degree.

His professional journey began in 2008 as Head of Department in the Committee for Roads, followed by successive leadership roles as Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee under various ministries. Since 2023, he has been serving as Vice-Minister of Transport, contributing to the strategic development of Kazakhstan’s transport sector
