Born in 1965, Yoshimichi Terada embarked on a distinguished career in the transport sector when he joined the Ministry of Transport in 1989. Over 35 years, he has gained experience in various transport sectors, such as aviation, maritime, railways, and road transport.
His professional journey also includes postings as First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Spain, Vice Governor of Niigata Prefecture, and Vice Chairman of Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency.
In July 2024, he was appointed Vice Minister for International Affairs at the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).
