Muhammad Arsalan Khan Niazi is a Doctoral Researcher in Transportation Economics at the University of Trieste, Italy, specializing in sustainable mobility and energy transition. His research focuses on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles, aiming to inform decarbonization strategies in the transport sector. With a multinational academic and professional background, he holds an MSc in Supply Chain and Purchasing Management from Audencia Business School, France, and a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from GIK Institute, Pakistan. Arsalan has worked across Europe and Asia in roles spanning operations, digital procurement, and business development. He currently applies advanced simulation tools—particularly multi-agent modelling—to design and analyze sustainable transport systems. His interdisciplinary approach bridges economic analysis, supply chain innovation, and environmental policy. Passionate about real-world impact, Arsalan actively collaborates with academia and industry to drive forward practical solutions for a cleaner, technology-driven mobility future in Europe and beyond.
