With a strong background in both public administration and legislative work, Minister Sabutis brings decades of experience in leadership and governance at both local and national levels.

Minister Sabutis holds degrees in Law (2001) and Philosophy (1999) from Vytautas Magnus University. His professional journey began in the private and public sectors, including key roles in personnel management and public health administration.

From 2001 to 2007, he worked as a personnel manager at AB “Achema,” followed by positions at UAB “Project Center” and VšĮ Jonava Emergency Medical Station. He later transitioned into municipal leadership, serving as Deputy Mayor and subsequently Mayor of Jonava District Municipality between 2015 and 2019.

Elected to the Lithuanian Parliament in 2020, Mr. Sabutis served as a member of the XIII Parliament, actively contributing to national policy development. A committed member of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, he has been involved in shaping progressive policies in transport, infrastructure, and regional development.

His extensive experience in governance and deep commitment to public service continue to guide his efforts to modernize Lithuania’s transport systems and strengthen regional connectivity.
