Claudia Elif Stutz

Dr Claudia Elif Stutz has been a State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin since May 2025. She holds a degree in law and began her career in the public service at the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing in Bonn in 2004. Over the last ten years, she has held several senior positions in the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of Transport and the Berlin State Administration, where she dealt extensively with transport policy and social policy issues such as gender equality, integration, and strengthening families. With regard to the upgrading of transport infrastructure, Dr Stutz is keen to address the very different mobility needs of citizens in urban and rural areas as well as the increasingly complex challenges facing industry and small and medium-sized enterprises in the face of international competition.

In recent years, she has focussed her professional activities on the digitalization of the railways, the maintenance and upgrading of rail and road infrastructure and on strengthening climate-friendly mobility.
