DHL Group will present their brand new “Extended Range Electric Vehicle” (EREV), which has just undergone a three month test in parcel transport between Berlin and Hamburg.
CEO Dr. Tobias Meyer will introduce the EREV, an e-truck equipped with a fuel-powered generator for improved energy reserves, jointly developed by DHL Group and heavy-vehicle maker Scania. He will also share the results of the pilot project regarding how this technology can help reduce road freight’s CO2 emissions as well as ensure stable logistics operations and outline the regulatory framework necessary to make transport more sustainable.
