The Central American Regional Master Plan on Mobility and Logistics 2035, formulated with the technical and financial assistance of the Government of Japan, was approved on May 15, 2023, by three Central American Councils of Ministers: the Council of Ministers of Economic Integration; the Council of Ministers of Transportation; and the Council of Ministers of Finance  and endorsed by the Heads of State and Government of the Central American Integration System (SICA) in June 2023.

The Plan proposes the development of an intermodal transportation system in the region through 374 initiatives and projects organized into 11 strategic logistics corridors to improve competitiveness, productivity, and resilience of Central American economies.

Spain, through the SICA-Spain Fund, is supporting the implementation of this Master Plan, alongside various other strategic international partners.

Ministerial authorities from Costa Rica, Japan, Spain, and SIECA will talk about the relevance of implementing such plan to promote sustainable development, competitiveness, and international trade in Central America. The importance of international cooperation and investment, both public and private, will be highlighted in implementing transportation infrastructure projects that guarantee resilience in the region.
