Summit Overview

The Summit is the largest annual gathering of transport ministers and the world’s premier global transport policy event.

The ITF 2025 Summit on Transport Resilience to Global Shocks will take place from 21 to 23 May in Leipzig, Germany, under the Presidency of Chile, with Azerbaijan and Czechia as first and second Vice Presidents, respectively.

What is it for?

Ministers with responsibility for transport, business leaders, heads of international organisations, parliamentarians and policy makers, representatives of business associations and leading researchers meet each year in Leipzig, Germany, to discuss the future of transport through the prism of a strategic topic.

Summit participation has grown to over 1 200 participants from more than 80 countries, well beyond the 69 member countries of the ITF. It increasingly attracts business participants, with CEOs joining high-level discussions and companies presenting their work in the Summit exhibition or sponsoring the event.

A broad range of discussion formats offer many opportunities to exchange ideas. These range from the official Ministerial Sessions via panel discussions, workshops and demonstrations to informal presentations in the ITF Open Stage Café. There are also a large number of networking opportunities.
