Following immediately on the Summit Opening Press Conference, this briefing provides new data on the safety of e-scooters and other “micromobility” devices, along with recommendations for operators and authorities. For a long time, little data was available to provide sound arguments in the heated debate about light vehicles collectively known as “micromobility”. Four years after ITF’s seminal report from the Corporate Partnership Board on “Safe Micromobility” (2020), we have revisited the much-evolved evidence in our latest release, “Safer Micromobility” (2024), to provide the underpinnings for a rational debate.
