Jevgeni Kabanov is the President of Bolt, the European super-app with the mission to make urban mobility more affordable, safe and sustainable. Bolt has over 100 million customers in more than 45 countries and 400 cities across Europe and Africa and offers a range of mobility products including ride-hailing, scooter and e-bike rentals, food delivery, grocery delivery and car rentals.
Jevgeni was the founder and CEO of ZeroTurnaround, a development tools company with 230 employees and 10s of millions of revenue acquired by Rogue Wave. He is an entrepreneurship champion and was the president of the Estonian Founders Society. In 2015, he received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in Estonia.
Jevgeni has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tartu and has published papers on topics ranging from category theory notions to typesafe Java DSLs. He has initiated several open-source projects and serves on the board of a number of startups.
Jevgeni doesn’t have a driver’s license and believes in a future where cities are built for people, not cars.
