Bent-Joacim Bentzen (b. 1991) became state secretary at the Ministry of Transport in January 2023. He came from the same position in the Ministry of Defence. Previously he has been executive of Transportation and Infrastructure in Nordland County Council from 2019-2021. In the years from 2018 to 2019, he worked as a political adviser for the Centre Party in Stortinget, the Norwegian Parliament. He served 9 years as an officer in the Norwegian armed forces. Besides military education, he has studied political science and started an MBA degree at North University.
