Andrés Alcalá
Andres Alcala is a Colombian economist, graduated from Los Andes University in Bogotá – Colombia, with a master's degree in economics from the same University and Master of Arts degree in Transport Economics from Leeds University at UK. Mr. Alcala has over 20 years of experience in transport planning involving private and public sectors of Latin America and Spain. He began his career in the regulatory entity of ports and transport in Colombia (Superintendencia de Puertos y Transporte) and then worked as project manager for the Spanish consultancy firm Estudios Proyectos y Planificacion S.A. (EPYPSA) in Madrid, Spain. In his last stage on that firm, he became the general director of the Colombian branch in Bogotá. Since 2013 he works for CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, as a specialist in urban transport and mobility, as part of the Direction of Sustainable Habitat and Urban Mobility. He currently coordinates the LOGUS and electric mobility strategies at CAF.
