Dineth Dhananjaya
Durage Dineth Dhananjaya is currently pursuing his masters studies at the University of Technology Dresden, Germany in the field of transportation economics. He pursued a four-year honors degree in Transport and Logistics Management for his bachelor's, where he graduated with a second upper-class degree.
After completing his bachelor's, he worked as a Research Assistant for two projects. The first project focused on the modernization of the current bus service in Sri Lanka under the financing of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), USA. Utilization of high-frequency GPS data to gain insights regarding the status of buses and generation of statistics on bus performances are the areas that his works mainly related. During the second project, he attempted the development of trip purpose inference models utilizing GPS data from taxi services and informative data relating to land uses. Currently, he is more focused on transportation data analytics and expects to pursue a Ph.D. in the future.
