Erik Jonnaert
Erik is a Belgian national, currently chair at FIPRA International, a public affairs consultancy based in Brussels, Belgium, with a global network in 50 countries. He is focusing on EU policy affecting the future of mobility, looking at the impact of both the green and digital transition across all transport modes.
Driven by his passion for a sustainable mobility ecosystem, he is actively involved in the New Mobility Foundation, leading the international division of which he is a co-founder and director. The New Mobility Foundation has been created to address mobility poverty to make mobility accessible and affordable to all citizens.
Erik has 38 years of experience in public affairs, building connections and organizing dialogue between business, policy makers and other stakeholders. He has been active in both the automotive industry as well as in the consumer goods industry, through management roles in both Europe and Asia.
Erik is also in charge of the Montblanc Circle for Public Affairs and is on the Advisory Group of the McKinsey Center for Future of Mobility.
Erik obtained his Master of Laws from the University of Ghent in Belgium and the Harvard Law School in the USA.
