Patrick Wendeler

Patrick leads bp’s European subsidiary BP Europa SE: It comprises bp’s regional business areas in Western Europe, ranging from its growth fields EV charging, bioenergy and green hydrogen to its refinery business. Through innovative pilot projects and the roll-out of future energy and mobility technologies, the work of his team plays a key role in helping bp and the respective countries’ economies deliver on their net zero ambitions. An economist by education, Patrick has spent his entire career with bp: Before he took over as Chairman of BP Europa SE, he was the CEO of Aral AG – bp’s German petrol station brand. Prior to that, he has held various management positions along bp’s and Aral’s value chain.
