Roland Werner is Senior Director for Public Policy and Government Affairs for Southern and Central Europe. Roland joined Uber in 2016. Before joining Uber, Roland served as State Secretary in the Saxony State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport. Previously, he worked in the German Parliament for Dr. Wolfgang Gerhardt (former chairman of the Free Democratic Party) and Dr. Guido Westerwelle (former vice-chancellor and foreign minister of Germany). Roland is an economist by training.
