Fika is a global non-profit that builds the tools, capacity, and evidence base to enable governments and private sector/development partners to prioritize and build rural networked transport infrastructure (RNTI) at scale. We use a community-driven approach and intelligent technology to connect communities to critical services like schools, clinics, markets, and jobs through RNTI – the sub-tertiary networks of roads, bridges, paths, waterways, and other infrastructure linking rural communities to one another and higher-order transport systems and destinations. Our rural access programs are designed to unlock opportunity, amplify the reach of other development interventions, and ultimately eliminate poverty caused by rural isolation.
