Christoph Nolte is Executive Vice President at DEKRA SE, responsible for the global Service Division Vehicles, covering vehicle inspection, testing, certification and compliance services in more than 30 countries worldwide. With over 25 years of experience in the field of vehicle inspection and regulatory compliance, he brings a unique combination of technical, operational and policy expertise to international transport discussions.
Trained as a mechanical engineer with a background in vehicle design, Christoph began his career as a periodic technical inspection (PTI) engineer before taking on senior leadership roles in quality management, service development and technical governance at DEKRA’s headquarters in Stuttgart. Today, he oversees largescale inspection and testing networks supporting road safety, decarbonisation and digital transformation across mature and emerging transport systems.
At the ITF Summit, Christoph contributes a delivery focused perspective on funding resilient transport, highlighting the critical role of independent verification, trusted data and technical infrastructure in ensuring that public and private investments translate into real-world performance. His work focuses on bridging policy ambition with implementation, strengthening trust, accountability and long-term value in transport systems.
