With over 15 years of experience in international social organisations focused on youth and children, Raquel has collaborated in the creation and execution of intersectional strategies, addressing issues such as poverty, inequality, children's rights, and the right to sustainable cities and communities.
Her academic background in management and social enterprise creation has allowed her to promote impactful projects, turning ideas into real transformations. Her ability to promote innovation in the social sphere has allowed her to connect with communities, generate disruptive strategies, and challenge the status quo with creative solutions.
Raquel serves as Executive Director of YOURS – Youth for Road Safety, a global organisation working with and for young people to advance safer, cleaner, equitable and more sustainable mobility systems. The organisation champions meaningful youth engagement as a catalyst for systemic change, ensuring that young people’s perspectives inform the shaping of decisions, policies, and public agendas that define the future of transport and urban living.
