Engr. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso is the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Transportation, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration.
He began work with the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1994 as an Aerodrome (Airport) Engineer I and rose to the rank of Assistant Director (Safety and Technical Policy) in 2007. He led the project team responsible for the design, construction, and supervision of airport and airstrip pavements nationwide.
His career spanned across federal government establishments including the Ecological Fund Office, Federal Ministries of Aviation, Niger Delta Affairs, and Power, Works and Housing where he gained experience in aviation infrastructure planning and development; environmental and ecological remediation works and programmes; road and highway planning and development; housing and urban development; rail and mass transit planning and development; and government policy and management.
Engineer Olufunso Adebiyi is a Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow Institute of Cooperate Administration of Nigeria (ICAD), member Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), member American Society of Civil Engineers, and member, International Civil Aviation Organisation, amongst others.
