Meredith Glaser

Professor of Cycling

With nearly 20 years of experience and a multi-disciplinary background in public health, urban planning and environmental design, Prof Dr Meredith Glaser brings a holistic understanding to social inquiry and system change. Her published research and expertise regarding cycling policy and city-to-city learning has advanced Dr. Glaser as one of the most sought-after educators for professional development about urban cycling systems, public space transitions, and change management for urban mobility governance. Meredith is currently appointed Professor and Chair of Cycling at Ghent University, conducting research in collaboration with the Flemish Ministry of Public Works and Mobility. Additionally, she is CEO of the Urban Cycling Institute, an Amsterdam-based non-profit dedicated to capacity building for cities, universities, governments and industry, and tenured Senior Lecturer of urban planning at University of Amsterdam. She serves on numerous boards and advisory committees including the Cycling Research Board.
