VP Communications
Anna Larsson is Vice President for Communications at the World Shipping Council (WSC), the global trade association representing the international liner shipping industry. WSC’s members are the international container and vehicle carriers that carry two-thirds of the value of global trade every year. WSC works closely with governments, regulators and international organisations to advance safe, secure and environmentally sustainable maritime transport.
Since joining WSC in 2020, Anna Larsson has led the organisation’s global communications and reputation strategy at a time of profound change for the shipping and transport sectors. Her work supports WSC’s engagement with policymakers on issues including maritime decarbonisation, supply chain resilience, safety, as well as industrial and competition policy, with a strong focus on constructive public private dialogue.
Prior to WSC, she spent more than a decade at Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA, where she served as Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability, and held several senior leadership roles spanning communications, marketing and sustainability. Earlier in her career, she held management positions in corporate communications at AkzoNobel in Sweden and the Netherlands.
Anna Larsson has over 25 years of international experience in strategic communications and sustainability. She holds a Master’s degree in Business and Marketing from Lund University, a postgraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Gothenburg, and is certified as a One Planet Leader by WWF and IMD.
