Seunghyun An (born 1980) is an experienced researcher in the maritime sector. Since joining the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) - a government-funded research institute to contribute to the formulation of policies in maritime and fisheries sectors - in 2018, he has participated in a variety of projects related to the port technology industry. Currently, he is preparing a development plan for the port technology industry, including standards for port equipment and software.
He holds a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering from Jeju National University (2010) and a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics and Energy from the University of Tsukuba (2015).
