State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport
Dr Claudia Elif Stutz has been a State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin since May 2025. She holds a degree in law and began her career in public service at the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing in Bonn in 2004. Over the last fifteen years, she has held several senior positions in the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Berlin’s State Administration, where her work focused on transport policy and social policy issues such as gender equality, integration and strengthening families. As part of initiatives to upgrade transport infrastructure, Dr Stutz is keen to address the very different mobility needs of citizens in urban and rural areas as well as the increasingly complex challenges facing industry and small and medium-sized enterprises in light of international competition.
In her capacity as State Secretary, she is responsible for international and European matters, with a focus on fast-tracking infrastructure projects as the backbone of European industry, trade and medium-sized businesses, cutting red tape, as well as innovative and climate-friendly forms of mobility.
