Rashad Nabiyev

Minister of Digital Development and Transport
Rashad Nabiyev was born in 1977. He is an experienced public servant with extensive expertise in public administration, economics, and digital development. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public and Municipal Administration from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan between 1994 and 2000, and later completed a Master’s degree in Economics at the University of East Carolina in the United States. He began his professional career at the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, working in the Center of Information Resources and Technologies and the Department of Foreign Relations. He subsequently served at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Market Operations Department. From 2004 to 2011, he headed the Department of Finance, Accounting and Economic Analysis at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. In 2011, he was appointed Chairman of Azercosmos OJSC, and in 2021 he was appointed Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is fluent in English and Russian.
He is married and has three children.
