Vice Minister for Transport, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport
Jee-sun Hong (born 1970) is a career public official. Since entering public service in 1996, he has held various senior leadership roles in the fields of transport, infrastructure, logistics, and construction. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (1999) from Hanyang University, Republic of Korea, and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (2008) from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
At the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, he served as Director of Road Policy, Construction, and Railroads (2015–2019), Director General for Railroads, Ports, and Logistics (2019–2020), and Assistant Governor for Urban Housing (2020–2023). He later served as Vice Mayor of Namyangju City (2024–2025), where he developed broad insights into local administration.
In December 2025, he was appointed Vice Minister for Transport at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea.
