Armen Simonyan, born in 1989, is a biophysicist and public official with experience in both academia and government. He has held positions as Research Engineer, Assistant, and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biophysics at St. Petersburg State University. He holds a PhD in Biology and is the author of 17 scientific articles and more than 25 international theses. Since June 2019, he has served as Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia coordinating the transport sector (Land, Maritime, Aviation, Rail transport). He has been acting as the Permanent Representative (National Secretary) of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission of TRACECA in Armenia since 2019.
