Tom Parke

Green Finance Institute

Senior Associate

Specialist in structured finance and capital mobilisation for zero-emission mobility. Tom leads the Green Finance Institute’s heavy-duty transport work, designing bankable financing structures for electric trucks, as well as green corridor and charging hub projects. Tom leads the development of structured financing solutions for zero-emission vehicles across both light- and heavy-duty segments, working with public and private stakeholders to address key barriers such as upfront cost, utilisation risk, and residual value uncertainty. He is the author of GFI’s report on financing solutions for zero-emission trucks and charging infrastructure, which sets out practical, market-led approaches to accelerating deployment. He has worked closely with governments to design electric truck subsidy schemes that more effectively unlock private capital, and with financial institutions to develop structures capable of mobilising investment at scale. Previously, he worked as a portfolio manager in the financial sector, structuring working capital facilities and growth debt for high-growth companies. He brings a strong background in credit structuring and commercial finance to the design of innovative investment models supporting the transition to net zero.
