President and CEO
Naoki Fujii has served as President and CEO of Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA) since June 2025. He joined the former Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism; MLIT) in 1983 and built a distinguished career across Japan’s transportation, aviation, railway, tourism, and public policy sectors. During his tenure at MLIT, he held numerous senior leadership positions, including Director, Capital Area Airports Division, Civil Aviation Bureau, Director-General of the Road Transport Bureau, and Director-General of the Railway Bureau. In 2019, he was appointed Vice-Minister for Transport and Tourism, and from 2022 to 2023 he served as Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, overseeing Japan’s national transport and infrastructure policies. After retiring from public service, he served as Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group and Advisor at Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. before assuming his current role at NAA. As President and CEO, he is leading the New Narita Airport Development Plan, including the Runway B extension, a third runway construction, passenger terminals' reorganization, new cargo area development, and initiatives to enhance safety, resilience, and the airport’s long-term international competitiveness.
