Jens is a Director of KfW IPEX-Bank and is heading since 2022 one team within the Mobility Department being responsible for the acquisition and structuring of land-based transportation projects within Europe, Middle East. In 2023, new business with a volume of more than EUR 2bn has been originated in the field of land-based transportation comprises corporate, leasing and export finance transactions.
He joined KfW in 2006. Within the bank he has worked in the mobility and infrastructure sector for 18 years, first in portfolio management, where he managed an extensive portfolio of existing project and asset finance transactions and since 2011 on the structuring and origination side.
He has worked on several mobility and infrastructure export and project finance deals including (inter alia) rail infra deals in Egypt or leasing and public transportations transactions in Europe and road projects in Africa, rail and road PPPs in Europe as well as ECA-covered and non-recourse port projects in Australia, India and Europe. Furthermore, he has arranged and syndicated large-scale asset finance transaction for locomotives and wagons.
Jens holds a diploma in Business Administration from Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. He is fluent in German and English and knowledgeable in Spanish as well.
